Until Dawn is a 2015 interactive drama horror video game developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. Players assume control of eight young adults who have to survive on Blackwood Mountain when their lives are threatened. The game features butterfly effect system in which players must make choices that may change the story. All playable characters can survive or die, depending on the choices made.
A remake for the game was released for PC and PS5 on October 4th, 2024, remastering the graphics as well as adding new scenes and recutting the narrative.
A film for the game was released on April 25th, 2025, that expands on the lore of the game.

Trivia[]
- Leftover files in the game indicate there were going to be more deaths, but were cut from the final game.
- It is not specified how, but cut dialogue indicates that Sam and Mike could've died before making it back to the lodge. Given how there is nothing else that references this, it seems like it was cut early into development.
- There is an unused animation of what would've been Chris' death in the lodge if Sam hits the switch early. In the final game, if Chris makes it to Chapter 10, he is guaranteed to survive.
