Ultimate Avengers is a 2006 animated film and the first film in the Marvel Animated Features, it was followed by Ultimate Avengers 2: Rise of the Panther. It is a loose adaptation of the Ultimate Marvel comic book limited series The Ultimates that follows the origins of the Avengers and their battle against the Chitauri. It takes place on Earth-3488.
Captain America (Justin Gross) falls into the Atlantic Ocean and freezes while fighting Nazis in 1945. Sixty years later, he is discovered and thawed out to help battle the Chitauri, a race of shape-shifting aliens who assisted the Germans in the war and are still determined to destroy America. Under the leadership of Nick Fury (Andre Ware), Captain America joins the Hulk (Michael Massee), Iron Man (Marc Worden) and other superheroes to defeat the extraterrestrials.
