Turbulence 3: Heavy Metal is a 2001 thriller film directed by Jorge Montessi and starring the late John Mann (in his first and only leading role), Monika Schnarre, Craig Sheffer, the late Rutger Hauer, Gabrielle Anwar, and Joe Mantegna. The film was released direct-to-video, and is the third installment in the Turbulence trilogy, following Turbulence and Turbulence 2: Fear of Flying.
Heavy metal rocker Slade Craven (John Mann) plans to stage his farewell concert aboard a jumbo jet. The show will be filmed and broadcast to millions of fans via the Internet. But Slade is kidnapped and replaced by the identical Simon Flanders (also Mann), a satanist who hijacks the plane in order to crash it into a church in Kansas. It's up to two FBI agents (Joe Mantegna, Gabrielle Anwar) and a computer hacker (Craig Sheffer) to save the lives of everyone on board.
