The Virgin Spring (Swedish: "Jungfrukällan") is a rape-and-revenge film released in 1960.
In the film, a minister questions his devotion to god after he murders his daughter's rapists/killers. The film was directed by Ingmar Bergman and stars Max Von Sydow and Birgitta Pettersson. The film is an adaptation of the 13th century Swedish ballad Töres döttrar i Wänge. It was unofficially remade in America as The Last House on the Left.
