The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! is animated comedy tv show created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Andy Heyward for Nintendo, based off of the Super Mario Bros. video game series, beginning in September and concluding in November of 1989 with 52 episodes in total. The show stars the late "Captain" Lou Albano, the late Danny Wells, Jeannie Elias, John Stocker, and the late Harvey Atkin.
The show consists of an animated portion as well as a live action portion, all centered around Mario and Luigi in both their adventures and day-to-day lives. The live action segments will not be counted since it is it's own mini-series that also plays alongside the 1989 Legend of Zelda series.
This series is also the first in a trilogy of Super Mario animated shows, and it is followed by The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 and concluding with Super Mario World.
