The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior is a 2008 Universal German, American, and South African action-adventure film directed by Russell Mulcahy, produced by Sean Daniel and James Jacks, and starring Michael Copon, Randy Couture, Simon Quarterman, Karen David, Tom Wu, and Natalie Becker. It is a prequel to the 2002 film The Scorpion King, followed by The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption.
When a young Mathayus (Michael Copon) witnesses his father's death at the hands of the king (Randy Couture), his quest for vengeance transforms him into the most feared warrior of the ancient world.
