The Mummy's Curse

The Mummy's Curse is a 1944 American Universal horror thriller film directed by the late Leslie Goodwins, produced by the late Oliver Drake, and starring the late Dennis Moore, the late Kay Harding, the late Addison Richards, the late Peter Coe, the late Lon Chaney Jr., and the late Virginia Christine. It is the fifth film in Universal's classic franchise The Mummy, the sequel to The Mummy's Ghost and followed by Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy.

After 25 years of the latest events, the mummy Kharis (Lon Chaney Jr.) and Princess Ananka (Virginia Christine) remain submerged in the swamp of the village of Mapleton. A new Priest (Peter Coe) emerges destined to take both mummies back to Egypt, but Princess Ananka's mummy has taken its deadly form and walks through the village with amnesia, not knowing who it is and where it came from... without remembering that he had been in the city's swamp for 25 years. Now, Kharis has to bring her to the abandoned monastery where the Priest is to give her the potion of tana leaves and turn the princess back into a mummy and take them both back to Egypt.
