The Last House on the Left is a rape-and-revenge/slasher film series. Both film follows a group of thugs that rape and murder women. However, in a twist of irony, the thugs ends up getting massacred in the house of one of their victim's parents. The series consists of the original film and a remake. The original was directed by Wes Craven while the remake was directed by Dennis Iliadis. Several unofficial remakes (like Last Stop on the Night Train) also exists. The films themselves are an unofficial remake of The Virgin Spring.
