
The Invisible Woman is a 1940 American science fiction comedy film directed by the late Albert Sutherland, produced by the late Burt Kelly, and starring the late Virginia Bruce, the late John Barrymore, the late Charles Ruggle, the late John Howard, the late Oskar Homolka and the late Edward Brophy. It is the sequel to the film of the same year The Invisible Man Returns, and followed by Invisible Agent.
Professor Gibbs (John Barrymore) invents a machine that can make people invisible, and uses it on Kitty Carroll (Virginia Bruce), an attractive and adventurous model. But gangsters steal the machine for their boss (Shemp Howard), so they will have to face the invisible woman.
