
The Invisible Man Returns is a 1940 American Universal science fiction horror film directed by the late Joe May and starring the late Cedric Hardwicke, the late Nan Grey, the late Vincent Price, the late Cecil Kellaway, the late John Sutton, and the late Alan Napier. It is the sequel to the classic 1933 film The Invisible Man, and both are based on the 1897 novel of the same name written by the late H. G. Wells.
Geoffrey Radcliffe (Vincent Price) is sentenced to death for killing his brother. Innocent to the crime, he escapes on the day of his supposed execution by injecting himself with the invisibility formula provided by Dr. Frank Griffin (John Sutton), the brother of the original invisible man (Claude Rains). Now Geoffrey must find the real culprit while battling the insanity-causing side-effects of his condition.
