The Evil of Frankenstein is a 1964 British Hammer and Universal horror thriller film directed by the late Freddie Francis, produced by the late Anthony Hinds, and starring the late Peter Cushing, the late Sandor Elès, the late Kiwi Kingston, the late Peter Woodthorne, the late David Hutcheson, and the late Duncan Lamont. It is the third film in the Hammer franchise Frankenstein, the sequel to The Revenge of Frankenstein and followed by Frankenstein Created Woman.
After the laboratory where he worked on his experiments was destroyed, Baron Frankenstein (Peter Cushing) returns to his hometown, Karlstaad, from where he was expelled years ago, in search of the riches of his mansion so that he can continue to pay for his work. Once there, he finds the monster (Kiwi Kingston) he created, which has been preserved in the mountains thanks to the ice and decides to try to bring it back to life. But something in the creature's brain goes wrong, so Dr. Frankenstein enlists the services of the hypnotist Zoltan (Peter Woodthorne).
