The Bye Bye Man is a 2017 American supernatural horror film written by Jonathan Penner, directed by the late Stacy Title; starring Douglas Smith, Doug Jones, and Faye Dunaway. It is based on the short story "The Bridge to Body Island" from Robert Damon Schneck's 2007 book The President's Vampire Strange -but-True Tales of The United States of America.
The plot revolves around three college kids who move into an old house and are soon terrorized by a demon, after finding a name carved into a nightstand.
