- Unlike the popular thought, the song is not completely real. According to the creator of the song, there was a boy in the brazilian city of Ouro Fino, Minas Gerais, that used to open the gate so the cowboy could pass with his cattle, but the boy was not killed by any animal, meaning that the rest of the song is just fantasy.
