Superman is a 15-chapter theatrical serial released in 1948 by Columbia Pictures. It is the first live-action adaptation of the DC Comics character Superman. A second serial entitled Atom Man vs. Superman was released in 1950.
Superman comes to Earth as a child and grows up to be his home's first superhero with his first major challenge being to oppose The Spider Lady.
