
Steel is a 1997 American superhero film loosely based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The film stars Shaquille O'Neal, Annabeth Gish, and Judd Nelson.
A military scientist takes to the streets as a hi-tech crusader when his work on a formidable new weapon is hijacked. When a version of his weapon, which neutralises enemies without killing them, starts appearing in the outside world, he dons a special suit and transforms himself into a cartoon-style superhero.
