Starcrash is a 1978 American space opera film directed and co-written by Italian filmmaker Luigi Cozzi, and starring Marjoe Gortner, Caroline Munro, the late Christopher Plummer, David Hasselhoff and the late Joe Spinell. It is widely regarded as a "cash-in or a ripoff" on the unprecedented success of Star Wars.
An outlaw smuggler and her alien companion are recruited by the Emperor of the Galaxy to protect Earth from the evil Count Zarth Arn.
