- In the comic series, Gial Ackbar and Luke Skywalker are mentioned being deceased. However, since their deaths both appear in Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, they will not be listed above.
- In "An Old Hope", the destruction of the planet Tah'Nuhna is shown, with many Tah'Nuhna's being killed. However, aside from the four shown in the comic, it is unspecified how many were present on the planet. As such, they will not be listed above.
- In "Troubled Waters", Chadkol Gee mentions how his family was tortured and killed by the First Order off-panel. However, it is unknown how many of his family was killed, so none will be listed above.
- In "Troubled Waters", a shrine of multiple deceased Mon Calamari is shown on Mon Cala, with one of the seven faces on it representing Gial Ackbar. Since the other six have never been shown before, they will be listed above.
