Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country is a 1991 American science fiction film which is a sequel to the television series Star Trek: The Original Series. It was released on December 6, 1991 by Paramount Pictures. It is the sixth Star Trek film following Star Trek V: The Final Frontier and it is followed by Star Trek Generations in 1994.

On the eve of retirement, Kirk and McCoy are charged with assassinating the Klingon High Chancellor and imprisoned. The USS Enterprise crew must help them escape to thwart a conspiracy aimed at sabotaging the last best hope for peace.
