Star Trek The Next Generation

Star Trek: The Next Generation is an American science fiction television series that follows the adventures of the starship USS Enterprise and its crew. It aired from September 28, 1987 to May 23, 1994 and consists of 178 episodes over seven seasons.

Set almost 100 years after Captain Kirk's 5-year mission, a new generation of Starfleet officers sets off in the USS Enterprise-D on its own mission to go where no one has gone before.

Star Trek: The Next Generation is the third Star Trek series following Star Trek: The Animated Series, and is preceded by Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The series continues with a series of films beginning with Star Trek Generations in 1994 and is followed by three sequels, Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek: Nemesis. A sequel series entitled Star Trek: Picard was released in 2020.
