The Southland Amusement Park Ferris Wheel Malfunction is an event that is shown in the opening cutscene in Hitman: Blood Money.
Due to improper maintenance and a safety inspection that mysteriously disappeared, the park's Ferris Wheel experiences an electrical malfunction, which escalates quickly into an explosion, resulting in half of the wheel falling apart. Despite overwhelming evidence against Joseph Clarence, the owner of the park, he was found not guilty for his negligence. However, an unremitting group of families Clarence, causing him and his park to go bankrupt, and subsequently shut down.
