
Son of Frankenstein is a 1939 American Universal horror thriller film directed and produced by the late Rowland Lee and starring the late Basil Rathbone, the late Boris Karloff, the late Bela Lugosi, the late Lionel Atwill, the late Josephine Hutchinson, and Donnie Dunagan. It is the third film in the Universal Pictures franchise Frankenstein, a sequel to Bride of Frankenstein and followed by The Ghost of Frankenstein.
One of the sons of late Dr. Henry Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone) finds his father’s ghoulish creation (Boris Karloff) in a coma and revives him, only to find out the monster is controlled by Ygor (Bela Lugosi) who is bent on revenge.
