SCP-173, also known as The Sculpture or SCP-001-KEY-03, is one of the main antagonists in the SCP Foundation mythos. It is a statue that does not move until one looks away from it which causes the statue to attack attempting kill said onlooker.

- There isn’t won’t be an image on this page as the previous image of SCP-173 was removed due to complicated issues on the SCP Foundation site. The author also wishes to have the readers create their own interpretation of SCP-173’s appearance.
- The release date written in the SCP-173 file is the date when SCP-173 was uploaded onto the SCP Foundation website. The date when SCP-173 was posted on 4Chan is June 22, 2007.
- Due to the lack of continuity between SCP tales for SCP-173 as per SCP Foundation Wiki rules, SCP-173 can have varying categories that contradict with each other like has the Protagonist (Crunch), Antagonist (RE: The Statue), Villains (Tanhony Proposal II), Anti-Hero (Hunted) categories. It also has the Near Pure Evil category as the tale Crunch depicts the anomaly as being near pure evil though there are other tales that do not to depict the entity as such.
