"Dr." Richard "Rick" Trager is one of the antagonists in Outlast. He was an executive of Research Development for the Murkoff Corporation and head of Business Development at Mount Massive Asylum, before being committed to Mount Massive Asylum for Morphogenic Engine testing.
He is voiced by Alex Ivanovici.

- Trager's primary method is "Fingers First. Then Balls. Then Tongue."
- Although it is clear that Trager was in the basement for the Male Ward, it cannot be confirmed if he is responsible for most of the corpses seen, since there are also several hostile Variants in the same area.
- However, it can be presumed he is responsible for the bowl of fingers seen in the Kitchen on the first floor.
- There is one Variant with no idle animation or breathing, who is strapped to one of Trager's beds, but he does have dialogue and so will not be counted.
