Poltergeist is a 1982 horror film directed by the late Tobe Hooper, it is the first of the Poltergeist film series. It stars Craig T. Nelson, JoBeth Williams, the late Dominique Dunne, Oliver Robins, and the late Heather O'Rourke.
A five year old named Carol Anne Freeling discovers that there's more to her house than it seems, and after she's kidnapped/taken to the Other Side, her mother, her father, and paranormal investigators try to get her back. But it takes a lot to do so, and eventually, the spirits/Poltergeists from the Other Side begin terrorizing them either in their house or out of their house.
