Pillow of Death is an 1945 American Universal Pictures romance, thriller, and horror film directed by the late Wallace Ford, produced by the late Ben Pivar, and starring the late Brenda Joyce, the late Lon Chaney Jr., the late J. Edward Bromberg, the late George Cleveland, the late Rosalind Ivan, and the late Clara Blandick. It is based on the popular radio program from 1941 Inner Sanctum Mystery created by the late Himan Brown.
Attorney Wayne Fletcher (Lon Chaney Jr.) and his secretary (Brenda Joyce) are having an affair, so when Wayne's wife (Victoria Horne) is found smothered to death, he becomes the prime suspect. As the police investigate the murder, a psychic with questionable motives tries to contact the deceased woman. Soon, Wayne begins seeing visions of his dead wife, and other people involved with the case begin to be killed, one by one.
