Ocean's Eight (stylized as Ocean's 8) is a 2018 American Warner Bros. Pictures action, comedy, and crime film directed by Gary Ross, produced by Steven Soderbergh and Susan Ekins, and starring Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Awkwafina, and Helena Bonham Carter. It is the fifth film of the film series Ocean's.
Five years, eight months, 12 days... in countdown. This was the time it took Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock) to prepare the biggest robbery of her life. She knows she'll need a team of the best in the métier, starting with her partner in crime Lou Miller (Cate Blanchett). Together, they recruit a group of specialists: jeweler Amita (Mindy Kaling), con artist Constance (Awkwafina), reception expert Tammy (Sarah Paulson), hacker Nine Ball (Rihanna), and fashion designer Rose (Helena Bonham Carter). The target is $150 million dollars in diamonds... diamonds that will be around the neck of world-famous actress Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway), in the big attraction at the event of the year, the Met Gala. The plan is rock solid, but everything will need to be perfect for the team to be able to get in and escape with the diamonds. Everything is absolutely in sight.
