Lust for a Vampire

Lust for a Vampire is a 1971 British Hammer horror film directed by the late Jimmy Sangster, produced by the late Harry Fine and the late Michael Style, and starring Yutte Stensgaard, the late Michael Johnson, the late Barbara Jefford, the late Ralph Bates, the late Suzanna Leigh, and the late Helen Christie. It is based on the 1872 Gothic novel Carmilla, written by the late Irish author Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, the second film of The Karnstein Trilogy, the sequel of the 1970 film The Vampire Lovers and followed by Twins of Evil.

In 1830, the Karnstein heirs (Barbara Jefford/Mike Raven) use the blood of an innocent to bring forth the evil that is the beautiful Mircalla (Yutte Stensgaard) - or as she was in 1710, Carmilla. The nearby Finishing School offers rich pickings not only in in the blood of nubile young ladies but also with the headmaster who is desperate to become Mircalla’s disciple, and the equally besotted and even more foolish author Richard Lestrange (Michael Johnson).
