Dr. Leonard H. McCoy, known as "Bones", is a Starfleet officer who is an accomplished surgeon, physician, psychologist, and exobiologist. He is a major protagonist within Star Trek appearing in Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, as well as appearing in a range of other media around the franchise.
He is portrayed by the late Jackson DeForest Kelley.
