
Last Tango in Paris (Italian: Ultimo tango a Parigi | French: Le Dernier Tango à Paris) is an erotic/psychological drama film released in 1972.
In the film, two strangers run into each other in an empty apartment room. They slowly start an anonymous affair with each other, slowly becoming for intense, isolated and inhumane. The film was directed by Bernardo Bertolucci and stars Marlon Brando, Mary Schneider and Jean-Pierre Léaud. Agnès Varda provided French dialogue for the film.
The film remains controversial to this day due to the rape scene in the film, which was filmed without full consent from actor Schneider.
