La Llorona is a folk horror/political thriller film released in 2019.
In the film, a former general and his family are trapped inside their mansion due to protests outside over the genocide committed by the general. When a Kaqchikel maid arrives at the mansion, supernatural events start to haunt the family. The film was directed by Jayro Bustamante and stars María Mercedes Coroy, Margarita Kenéfic, and Julio Díaz.
