
Kiss of Death is a 1947 crime drama film-noir directed by the late Henry Hathaway, starring the late Victor Mature, and the late Richard Widmark. It is based off of a story by the late Eleazar Lipsky.
The story centers around a mobster caught during a diamond heist, that is offered a deal by the DA to squeal on his partners. At first, the mobster refuses, but after three months into his sentence, he finds out his wife committed suicide. Eager to see his family, he takes the deal, and soon has to face the consequences.
