
Insomnia is a 1997 Norwegian crime drama film directed by Erik Skjoldbjærg, who also wrote it along with Nikolaj Frobenius. (See also: Insomnia for the remake)
A cop tries to cover his tracks after accidentally shooting his partner while pursuing a suspect in the homicide of a teenage girl. However, said killer witnessed the cop's crime and attempts to blackmail him into letting him avoid punishment.
