House (1977)

House (Japanese:ハウス "Hausu") is a surrealist/horror/comedy film released in 1977.

In the film, a group of high school students go to a secluded house. There, they are slowly killed one by one via furniture that come alive. The film was directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi and stars Kimiko Ikegami and Yōko Minamida.

Melody - Eaten alive by a sentient piano.
Sweet - Mangled inside the gears of a clock after being eaten by sentient futons.
Kung Fu - Eaten alive by a sentient light fissure.
Blanche - Exploded into a flood of blood when Kung Fu's severed legs kicked it.
Unnamed Watermelon Farmer - Disintegrated by Auntie.
Keisuke Tōgō - Turned into bananas by Auntie.
Prof - Dissolved into a pool of blood by a sentient can.
Fantasy - Killed off-screen by Auntie.
Ryoko Ema - Set on fire by Auntie.
