High Noon is an 1952 American western film directed by the late Fred Zinnemann, produced by the late Stanley Kramer, and starring the late Gary Cooper, the late Grace Kelly, the late Thomas Mitchell, the late Lon Chaney Jr., the late Lloyd Bridges, and the late Lee Van Cleef. It is followed by the 1980 film High Noon, Part II: The Return of Will Kane.
For Sheriff Will Kane (Gary Cooper), his wedding day will be marked not by emotion, but by adrenaline and the chase with the dangerous bandit Frank Miller (Ian MacDonald). Miller fled after revenge, as Kane put him in prison. But now, not even the local population will help him.
