George Stark is the titular main antagonist of the 1989 novel The Dark Half. He is a pseudonym used by crime novel writer Thad Beaumount, which he eventually retires and buries. Following this, Stark would be reborn as a physical entity seeking to kill everyone responsible for his "death", and ensure his own continued existence.

He was created by Stephen King.
