- Alongside acting, Oldman has also been a filmmaker. He directed, produced, and wrote the 1997 film Nil by Mouth. He directed a short film called Donut, released in September 2006, for Nokia Nseries Studio and a music video for his then-wife Alex Eden's first single, "Kiss Me Like the Woman You Loved".
- Oldman has also been a musician. He sang several songs on the soundtrack for the 1986 film Sid and Nancy (seen above) and sang and played live piano in the 1988 film Track 29, among other performances.
