Galaxy Quest is a 1999 American science fiction comedy film which is a parody of and homage to science-fiction franchises, such as Star Trek. It stars Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, and Daryl Mitchell.
The film was followed by two comic book sequels, Galaxy Quest: Global Warning in 2008 and Galaxy Quest: The Journey Continues in 2015.
The alumni cast of a space opera television series have to play their roles as the real thing when an alien race needs their help. However, they also have to defend both Earth and the alien race from a reptilian warlord.
