Friday the 13th is a canon six part comic book series written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray for Detective Comics, based on the infamous Friday the 13th main antagonist, Jason Voorhees.
A beautiful young woman is found on the road to Crystal Lake, covered in blood and babbling incoherently about a monster who slaughtered her friends. Although her tale is eerily similar to a past legend of the lake, it proves to be unlike anything the locals have ever seen before.

Notes[]
General[]
- Although it's not mentioned when this series takes place, it must take place sometime after Friday The 13th: Part Two since it's mentioned that Jason had already killed Alice Hardy in issue #1. It also has to take place after part four since parts 3 and 4 take place within the span of the same 2-3 nights, but before part seven since Jason does not wear a chain around his neck. Since part five centers around Roy Burns, this series most likely takes place between parts 5 and 6.
By Issue[]
- In issue #1, Brian Evans mentioned that in 1962, the water in Camp Crystal Lake became toxic and it killed all of the animals in the nearby woods but it's not mentioned how many.
- Later, Sally gets pulled underwater by dozens of deceased children, but it's unknown if this was real or a hallucination from Sally.
- In Issue #5, it's confirmed these children were real when a sheriff mentions Nate and Jerry had several bite marks on them from several children.
- Later, Sally gets pulled underwater by dozens of deceased children, but it's unknown if this was real or a hallucination from Sally.
