Frequency is a 2000 sci-fi thriller film directed by Gregory Hoblit; starring Dennis Quaid and Jim Caviezel.
The film focuses on a cop in the present who ends up communicating with his father thirty years in the past over a ham radio. Knowing his father is going to die in a warehouse fire, the son warns him, which ends up saving his life and altering the present. However, saving his father also comes with disastrous consequences in the form of a serial killer dubbed The Nightingale Killer who also ended up being saved.
