Trivia[]
- Based on the character of Francis Dolarhyde, from Thomas Harris' 1981 novel Red Dragon.
- According to his license, he was born on November 23, 1952.
- Also according to his license, his name is spelled with two L's. This was either a typo or an intentional misspelling to distance the film from the book its based on. Much like how the Lecter in the same film is spelled "Lecktor". It's also possible the crew just didn't know how to spell Dolarhyde.
