Forrest Gump is a 1994 drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis and stars Tom Hanks.
Slow-witted Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) has never thought of himself as disadvantaged, and thanks to his supportive mother (Sally Field), he leads anything but a restricted life. Whether dominating on the gridiron as a college football star, fighting in Vietnam or captaining a shrimp boat, Forrest inspires people with his childlike optimism. But one person Forrest cares about most may be the most difficult to save -- his childhood love, the sweet but troubled Jenny (Robin Wright).

Notes[]
- Mr. Curran is never mentioned nor seen dying, but it has been presumed and assumed by many different sources that he died.
- Near the end of the film, Jenny reveals that she has AIDs from sleeping with several men and then still sleeps with Forrest knowing this. In the 1980s, when Jenny died, the mortality rate of AIDs was very high as it wasn't as well understood as it is today.
- Because Jenny also had a son with Forrest, it's possible that he was born with the virus, but this is also unconfirmed.
