Fist of Fury (1972)

Fist of Fury (Chinese: 精武門, also known as The Chinese Connection) is a 1972 Hong Kong martial arts film directed by the late Lo Wei and produced by the late Raymond Chow. The film stars the late Bruce Lee in his major role after The Big Boss (1971). Bruce Lee also worked as the film's action choreographer. The film was Lee's second kung fu film and also touched on sensitive issues surrounding Japanese colonialism. It also featured fairly realistic fight choreography for its time and also differs from other films in the genre for its historical and social references, especially to Japanese imperialism. It was followed by eight film sequels and remakes: New Fists of Fury (1976), Fist of Fury II (1977), Fist of Fury III (1979), Last Fist of Fury (1979), Fist of Fury (1991), Fist of Legend (1994), Fist of Fury (1995), and Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen (2010).

During a Japanese concession of Shanghai, the star student (Burce Lee) of a recently deceased martial arts master struggles against an encroaching Japanese Dojo which seeks the demise of the martial arts school founded by his master
