
Fantastic Four is a 2005 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It was theatrically released in the United States on July 8, 2005. It is the second live-action Fantastic Four film following The Fantastic Four in 1994 and a reboot entitled Fantastic Four was released in 2015. A sequel, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, was released in 2007. It stars Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis, Julian McMahon, and Kerry Washington. It was directed by Tim Story.
A group of astronauts gain superpowers after a cosmic radiation exposure and must use them to oppose the plans of their enemy, Doctor Victor von Doom.
