Dry-Corpse is a famous brazilian legend of a boy, so evil that when he passed away, his soul was rejected by god and the devil alike. His body was rejected by earth and was spat out of the grave, causing him to be revived as a zombie. While there are wide national variations about this legend and even in some other portuguse speaking countries, the most famous has its origins in the interior of the state of Parana, where the boy was so evil with his parents, never respecting and always physically harming them that after his death, he returned and remained stuck in the branches of tress awaiting for victims to pass nearby. The legend says that by the time of 8.00 PM, the undead releases himself from the trees, crushing any nearby victim with his deadly hug, since he has long nails. A regional variant of the legend says that he sucks up the blood of the victims, killing them if no ones passes around to save the victim, like a vampire. The other variants of the legend says that the Dry-Corpse is already a man, and other affirms that the Dry-Corpse is actually a woman.
