
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a 1913 American Universal silent horror thriller film directed by the late Herbert Brenon, produced by the late Carl Laemmle and starring the late King Baggot, the late Jane Gail, the late Howard Crampton, and the late Matt Snyder. The film is based on the 1886 gothic novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, written by the late Robert Louis Stevenson.
Dr. Henry Jekyll (King Baggot) experiments with scientific means of revealing the hidden, dark side of man and releases a murderer from within himself.
