Killer Profile is a 2008 American crime novel written by Max Allan Collins and the second entry of his trilogy based on the TV series Criminal Minds, preceded by Jump Cut and followed by Finishing School.
Two Chicago detectives come to the BAU for assistance in investigating three sets of murders committed in separate jurisdictions of Illinois. While the crimes are spread out and completely different, there's one thing that connects them; they were all slightly altered recreations of murders committed by infamous serial killers from the past.
