- In 1993, he was arrested after Michael Bass claimed that Corey had threatened him during an argument after Corey had fired Michael Bass the charges were later dropped.
- In 1996, he was sued after he pulled out of the film Paradise Bar.
- In 1997, he was sued by Lloyd's of London for $375,000 for failing to disclose his drug addiction as a pre-existing medical condition on the insurance form. Corey later filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
