Cells at Work! Code Black is a Japanese anime television series adaptation of the Cells at Work! Code Black manga series. The series was released in 2021 and features anthropomorphized cells of a human body. The series is a spin-off of the 2018-2021 anime series Cells at Work!. A live-action adaptation was released in 2024 entitled Cells at Work!.
In a human body, trillions of cells work tirelessly to keep the host alive. "Hataraku Saibou Black" follows the battle waged by these cells against the owner's unhealthy habits, fighting to safeguard his well-being.
