Neo-Noir

A film genre which is a modern day revival of the classic film noir genre which started in the 40's and ended around the 50's-60's. Neo-noir films take elements, characteristics, and visual styles from their predecessor and adapt them into the modern 60's-present era while also combining them with elements of psychological cinema and the emerging New Hollywood movement. These films often showcase much more graphic and erotic content.
