Heroines

Female characters (or at least characters that identify as female) that do things for the good of others or the sake of the world. Basically, any female character that fights on the side of good. The complete opposite of a villainess. For the male version of a heroine, see heroes.

(Note: a heroine does not equal a protagonist, as protagonists are the main character(s) of a story and can often end up being villains without any heroic qualities or traits)
